External Rail Connectivity
The nearest rail head to Rewas Port is Hamrapur Station on the Panvel-Pen section of Central Railway. The port will be linked to the Central Railway network by a 24 km rail link. The rail project is proposed to be under the R3i Policy 2010 using the Full Contribution Apportioned Earning Model. MMB will also be an equity partner in this project.
This link is planned as double line track on diesel traction built to DFC standard.
The Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a nodal agency under the Ministry of Railways responsible for execution of port connectivity projects under the SPV model has undertaken a final location survey for the project line. |
